Weekly Comic Review for 2/26/14

OK. I’m getting ridiculously behind as life has gotten busy. Time to set some time aside for the reviews and a couple other posts I want to do.

Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps: H.A.R.D. Corps #0 – The story starts in 1970 and shows the progress of Project Rising Spirit’s attempts over time to create what would become H.A.R.D. Corps. It’s interesting to see what they went through and how they treated

Guardians of the Galaxy #12 – The Trial of Jean Grey part 4 of 6 – Scott meets his father, Corsair, for the first time since the accident… again. Oracle confers again with Jean and then she goes off to trial. It seems like Oracle back Jean but Gladiator is being a narrow sighted ass who doesn’t care about the facts.

Justice League Dark #28 – Forever Evil Blight tie-in – The battle continues in Nanda Parbat as John, Zatanna, and Nick have a little pow wow. Meanwhile, Phantom Stranger, Pandora, and Cassandra Craft try to find out why only they escaped and end up running afoul of the Spectre. (Never a fun person.) Zauriel fights Felix Faust as well and loses his wings in the battle. I wonder if he can still fly without them. It’s interesting but this whole thing is feeling way too drawn out.

Teen Titans #28 – It’s Kid Flash and his crew vs the Teen Titans until Bart’s sister gets him to stop and take his judgement. Of course, he is judged guilty. Solstice doesn’t want to leave Kid Flash behind so she actually kills one of the judges so that she’ll get arrested too. Really? I know the book is being cancelled soon (only to be relaunched months later) but do they really have to give up this completely already?

There’s only 4 books so no top 3 this week. Bloodshot was good and Justice League Dark was decent. The others weren’t very great though.
